- Barney Miller: Season 3, episode 10, "Christmas Story" (1976). Nick falls for a woman whose purse was stolen and asks her out. Before she arrives for their date, Wojo tells Nick she's a prostitute.
- What's Happening!!: Season 1, episode 8, "Shirley's Date" (1976). Shirley doesn't want to go to Raj's party because she can't get a date, so the gang is on a mission to find her one. Raj hires an escort to ask Shirley to the party, but Shirley turns him down.
- WKRP in Cincinnati: Season 4, episode 15, "I'll Take Romance" (1982). Herb gets Les a date to the Cincinnati Broadcasters dinner through his new client, a computer dating service, but the service turns out to be a front for prostitution, and Les's dream date is a paid escort.
- Night Court: Season 3, episode 11, "Walk Away, Renee" (1985). Bull is so head over heals in love with his new girlfriend, Renee, that he's spending all his money on her, including cashing in his IRA, but the rest of the gang finds out she's a prostitute, and Dan has the misfortune of telling him.
- Herman's Head: Season 2, episode 5, "Brackenhooker" (1992). Mr. Bracken has been keeping everyone at work late every night since his wife left him, so Herman decides to try to set him up with a woman, but it proves to be an impossible task, so he asks Jay for help. Jay finds Mr. Bracken the perfect date, but she turns out to be a prostitute, whom Jay paid with Herman's credit card.
- Dream On: Season 5, episode 3, "Tis Pity She's a Neighbor" (1994). When Martin knocks on his neighbor's door to complain about the noise, he meets a beautiful woman, so of course, he invites he over for coffee. She spends the night, and in the morning she tries to charge him $540 for her "services."
- Wings: Season 7, episode 5, "Hooker, Line and Sinker" (1995). Antonio is depressed because his girlfriend dumped him, so Joe and Brian take him to the Club Car, where he meets a beautiful woman named Heather, and they hit it off. As they're leaving, Heather tells Joe and Brian that her rate is $300 per hour. Unwilling to break Antonio's heart, they pay her, and they try to talk Antonio out of seeing her again.
- Frasier: Season 7, episode 2, "Father of the Bride" (1999). Since Daphne got engaged, Niles has been desperate to get a date, so he signs up for a dating service for busy professionals, and it turns out to be a front for an escort service, which one of Donny's clients was caught using. When Niles falls for his "Executive Match," Frasier tries to warn him, but Niles refuses to listen.
- Just Shoot Me!: Season 5, episode 14, "The Auction" (2001). Elliot and Maya recently broke up, and Maya is brining a date to Jack's charity auction, so Elliot is desperate to round up a date of his own at the last minute. He asks Nina to find a date for him, and she finds a plastic surgeon, but the doctor cancels at the last minute, so Nina hires a high class escort to go with him instead, but she neglects to tell Elliot.
