Bachelor Party Gone Wrong
A male character is about to get married, and his friends throw him a bachelor party that doesn't go as expected.

- WKRP in Cincinnati: Season 3, episode 19, "A Simple Little Wedding" (1981). Herb throws Mr. Carlson a bachelor party, despite his protests, and it goes about as well as any of Herb's parties.
- Cheers: Season 5, episode 18, "One Last Fling" (1987). The guys at Cheers throw a bachelor party for Sam, and as a surprise, they ask Diane to jump out of a giant cake instead of a stripper; this proves to be a mistake.
- Cheers: Season 6, episode 17, "To All the Girls I've Loved Before" (1988). Sam throws Frasier a bachelor party complete with a stripper who turns out to be one of Frasier's patients.
- Sledge Hammer!: Season 2, episode 19, "Here's to You, Mrs. Hammer" (1988). Sledge's best friend, Scott, is marrying Sledge's ex-wife, and Sledge is bitter about it, so he ruins Scott's bachelor party by arresting everyone there.
- Wings: Season 2, episode 5, "A Standup Kind of Guy" (1990). Joe throws a bachelor party for Jerry Stark, a guy who claims to be an old high school friend, but Joe doesn't remember him. For the entertainment, Joe hires a belly dancing stripper named Roberta, who turns out to be Jerry's old high school girlfriend. The two of them leave the party together mid-belly dance, and Jerry dumps his fiance to marry Roberta instead.
- Dream On: Season 3, episode 18, "The Guilty Party" (1992). Eddie's getting married, and Martin, his best man, insists on throwing him a bachelor party, even though Eddie doesn't want one. It starts all the guys turning down alcohol for various reasons, a porno tape that gets eaten by the VCR, and a stripper with a head cold, then it devolves into extremely awkward conversation and ends with Martin finding Eddie in bed with the sick stripper.
- Wings: Season 6, episode 25, "Boys Just Wanna Have Fun" (1995). Brian, who is legendary for throwing wild bachelor parties, totally botches Joe's when he books the hotel room in Atlantic City for the wrong night, so they end up in a cheap motel that only has a beta player, the pizza delivery man gets lost, and the stripper is sick. The evening concludes with Roy, Lowell, and the sick stripper watching Terms of Endearment on beta and sobbing.
- Spin City: Season 2, episode 21, "By, Bye, Birdie" (1998). Paul's bachelor party is plagued by freak problems, like a sculpture the mayor is due to unveil turns out to be a giant middle finger, and Carter, James, and Mike are held hostage in a hardware store.

- Arrested Development: Season 1, episode 19, "Best Man for the Gob" (2004). Gob got married to a stranger on a dare, and now, even though he's already married, he wants a bachelor party. His dad/best man, who's currently in jail, decides to use the opportunity to get rid of his accountant by making him think he killed a stripper. On his dad's instructions, Gob hires a narcoleptic stripper, who falls asleep inside a giant cake, and fills two buckets with corn syrup and red food coloring, which Buster mistakes for juice and promptly drinks. Then Buster tries to eat the giant cake, finds the passed out stripper, and passes out himself.
- Still Game: Season 4, episode 4, "Ring" (2005). Tam is getting married, and the gang hold a stag night for him at The Clansman. When Winston introduces the stripper, Tam proudly announces that he paid for the entertainment, and Tam being Tam, of course he skimped and got a stripper that's about 80 years old.
- Moone Boy: Season 2, episode 5, "Stags and Hens" (2014). Desi and Fidelma are getting married, and since he has no friends, he makes Father Linehan his best man. The father plans Desi's bachelor party in the church, where he holds a mass, and they have a Bible drinking game.
