- The Patty Duke Show: Season 1, episode 27, "The Wedding Anniversary Caper" (1964). Ross enters Patty in a beauty contest in an attempt to win a prize for his parents' anniversary gift.
- Gilligan's Island: Season 2, episode 2, "Beauty is as Beauty Does" (1965). A conversation about the aesthetic qualities of the three women on the island leads to a makeshift beauty contest to determine who will be crowned "Miss Castaway."
- The Mary Tyler Moore Show: Season 3, episode 6, "Rhoda the Beautiful" (1972). Rhoda is a finalist in a beauty contest at the department store where she works.
- Buffalo Bill: Season 2, episode 7, "Miss WBFL" (1984). The station is holding a beauty pageant with Bill emceeing, and Bill doesn't think any of the contestants are pretty enough, so he convinces Wendy to enter, but Wendy has second thoughts when Jojo asks her to sign a petition against the pageant. Meanwhile, when one of the other contestants drops out, Bill's daughter, Melanie, takes her place.
- ALF: Season 2, episode 7, "Oh, Pretty Woman" (1987). Alf enters Lynn in a beauty pageant to boost her self-esteem.
- The Golden Girls: Season 5, episode 18, "An Illegitimate Concern" (1990). Sophia talks Dorothy into entering the Shady Pines Mother/Daughter Beauty Pageant with her.
- The Golden Girls: Season 7, episode 7, "Beauty and the Beast" (1991). Blanche enters her granddaughter in a kids' beauty pageant, but she doesn't want to compete.
- The Nanny: Season 1, episode 22, "I Don't Remember Mama" (1994). To celebrate Mother's Day, the Sheffield family's new country club is holding a mother-daughter beauty pageant, and Fran decides to enter her and Gracie in the competition.
- Dharma & Greg: Season 3, episode 5, "I Did It for You, Kitty" (1999). Kitty is going through menopause and feeling bad about herself, so when Dharma finds out she used to be in beauty contents as a teen, she decides to enter Kitty in the Mrs. San Francisco pageant.
- Malcolm in the Middle: Season 6, episode 22, "Mrs. Tri-county" (2005). The boys enter Lois into the "Mrs. Tri-county" beauty contest as a joke, and she decides to do it because her sister was always in pageants when they were younger, but she never got to be in any.
- Arrested Development: Season 3, episode 4, "Notapusy" (2005). Ann enters an "inner beauty" pageant, and when the Funkës hear about it, they all want to to get in on it. Lindsay decides to help Bob Loblaw's daughter, Hope, win in a bid for Bob's attention, Tobias decides to help Ann win to impress Lindsay, and in protest, Maeby enters as her alter ego, "Shirley," wearing glasses and a fake nose and using a wheelchair.
- My Name is Earl: Season 1, episode 6, "Broke Joy's Fancy Figurine" (2005). Earl wants to make up for blowing up Joy's figurine, but Joy tells him he can't because you can only get one of those figurines by winning the Prettiest Pretty Princess mother and daughter beauty pageant, so Earl decides to help the former champ and her daughter win, but Joy wants to win the figurine back herself so she can get Earl to buy her a hot tub instead, so she pretends to have a dead mother in an urn full of cigarette ashes and enters as a daughter.
- Toast of London: Season 3, episode 2, "Beauty Calls" (2015). Steven and Ed are invited to judge a beauty contest, which, due to a feminist movement, has been forced underground. They're driven by chicken truck to a rundown bar in the middle of nowhere to judge contestants from third world countries, when Steven's meteorologist and feminist girlfriend shows up to protest.
