- The Patty Duke Show: Season 2, episode 12, "Little Patty Went to Market" (1964). To save time for their fledgling business, Patty, Cathy, and Ross cook preserves in a pressure cooker, but they overfill it, and it explodes all over the kitchen.
- Mork & Mindy: Season 1, episode 14, "Mork the Tolerant" (1979). Mork wants to be nice to his grumpy new neighbor, Mr. Bickley, so he invites him over for dinner, expecting Mindy to do the cooking, but Mindy refuses, so Mork prepares a meal of frozen peas, congealed soup, and a burnt souffle.
- Diff'rent Strokes: Season 2, episode 17, "Big Business" (1980). Willis and Arnold attempt to bake fudge brownies, and both they and the kitchen end up covered in flour.
- Too Close for Comfort: Season 1, episode 5, "Que Sara, Sara" (1980). When Muriel goes to stay with Jackie and Sara after a fight with Henry, Monroe feels responsible, so he tries to cook spaghetti and meatballs for Henry in a pressure cooker, and it explodes, getting the meatballs stuck to the ceiling.
- Too Close for Comfort: Season 2, episode 18, "As the Cookie Crumbles" (1982). While attempting to fulfill all their cookie orders on time, Sara, Monroe, and April make a huge mess of the Rush family kitchen.
- Cheers: Season 9, episode 21, "Cheers Has Chili" (1991). In an effort to steal the back room from Sam, Rebecca decides to create a "tea room" and serve tea and pastries, but no one shows up, so when she hears how much everyone loves Woody's famous chili, she steals his pressure cooker and sets it up in her tea room. Sam decides to concede and buy a bowl of Chili, but when he tries to heat up the pressure cooker, it explodes, splattering the room with chili.
