The gang accidentally gets intoxicated by consuming something they didn't know contained a drug or alcohol.

- Sanford and Son: Season 4, episode 11, "Fred's Treasure Garden" (1974). Grady is tending Fred's garden while he's away, and he discovers a crop of what he calls "wild parsley," which Lamont and Rollo identify as marijuana. They plan to turn it over to the police, but Grady has already picked it and served it in a salad to Aunt Esther and the two cops, Smitty and Hoppy, who all get stoned.
- Good Times: Season 1, episode 11, "The TV Commercial" (1974). Florida is chosen to appear in a commercial for "Vita-Brite" health tonic, but she's uncomfortable selling a product she doesn't use, so the family decides to try it. It's not until after they've all drank it that they read the ingredients and discover it's 18% alcohol. Michael is the most affected by the drink and starts dancing around, singing "Tie a Yellow Ribbon Round the Ole Oak Tree."
- Barney Miller: Season 3, episode 11, "Hash" (1976). Wojo brings in some brownies his new girlfriend baked, and when he, Harris, Yemana, and Fish eat some, they start to act funny. A lab test finds that the brownies are loaded with marijuana.
- Taxi: Season 3, episode 8, "Latka's Cookies" (1981). Latka's grandmother dies and leaves him her recipe for her famous cookies, and he's determined to market and sell them. The gang at the garage doesn't care for the taste or texture of the cookies, but for some reason, they can't stop eating them. The mystery is solved when Jim examines one of the cookies and immediately identifies the secret ingredient: cocaine.
- Just Shoot Me!: Season 1, episode 6, "Lemon Wacky Hello" (1997). Jack comes back from a trip to China and hands out some Chinese candy called "Lemon Wacky Hello." Shortly after eating it, the gang start acting strange: Finch sees snakes all over the building, Jack talks to his hand (which he calls Lester), and Nina is hunting a cowboy with eight arms who she thinks stole her wallet. When Maya accidentally knocks down the storyboard for the upcoming issue, they have to work together to reassemble the magazine in time while they're all "lemon wackied."
- Frasier: Season 11, episode 11, "High Holidays" (2003). When Niles realizes that he never rebelled as a child, he decides to eat a pot brownie, but Martin finds it first, eats it, and replaces it with a regular brownie. While Martin gets stoned, Niles only thinks he is.
- Malcolm in the Middle: Season 5, episode 16, "Malcolm Visits College" (2004). Otto opens a daycare center at the ranch, and when he goes to get cookies for the kids, he accidentally buys "hard" lemonade because he doesn't know what it is, and all the kids get drunk.
- Still Game: Season 4, episode 5, "Hatch" (2005). Winston's grandson stays with him, and he and his friends eat Winston's dinner, so Winston eats a plate of cookies on the counter, not realizing they contain pot. When his daughter arrives to pick up her son, Winston is playing air guitar and singing along to Bob Marley while the boys play video games.
