Three-card Monte
One or more characters are scammed by a street con artist playing three-card monte. Sometimes they think they can beat the con, but they're usually wrong.

- Night Court: Season 3, episode 18, "Could This Be Magic?" (1986). Harry's childhood hero, the Fabulous Falcone, is hauled into court for dealing three-card monte with a marked deck. Harry invites him over for a private performance, and for his next trick, he makes most of Harry's valuables disappear.
- The Simpsons: Season 6, episode 23, "The Springfield Connection" (1995). Snake outsmarts Homer in a three-card monte game, but Marge doesn't let him get away with it, and the altercation inspires her to join the police force.
- NewsRadio: Season 3, episode 13, "Led Zeppelin Boxed Set" (1997). After Jimmy loses a bundle playing three-card monte, Catherine shows him how the game is played so he can go back and hustle the hustler.
- Wings: Season 8, episode 16, "Escape from New York" (1997). Helen and Brian travel to New York City and find themselves strapped for cash. Helen bets all her money on a three-card monte game and actually wins! Unfortunately, she discovers later that her winnings are in counterfeit bills featuring Barney Rubble in place of a president.
- Spin City: Season 2, episode 15, "Gentleman's Agreement" (1998). James gets conned playing three-card monte (with guest star, Mos Def), and Paul tries to help him learn the game so he can win his money back. Unfortunately, the dealer outsmarts both of them and makes off with the rest of James's cash.
