Unwise Wisdom Teeth
A character has their wisdom teeth removed, and there are lot of gags involving pain medication and talking funny. Usually their convalescence goes horribly wrong.

- Wings: Season 2, episode 13, "Love is Like Pulling Teeth" (1991). Joe promised to take care of Helen after she has her wisdom teeth pulled, but Brian is having the guys over to watch a big football game, and Helen's TV is broken, so he sneaks a passed out Helen out of her bed and brings her to his house so he can watch the game, but she disappears.
- 3rd Rock from the Sun: Season 3, episode 26, "The Tooth Harry" (1998). Nina is having her wisdom teeth taken out, and her friend who's supposed to take her to the dentist for the procedure bails out at the last minute, so Harry takes on the job, but he doesn't just give her a ride, he hangs around to take care of her while she recovers, which leads to their becoming an item, but Harry just found out about the tooth fairy, so he puts $20 under her pillow, and she throws him out.
- Just Shoot Me!: Season 3, episode 1, "What the Teddy Bear Saw" (1998). Maya is having her wisdom teeth removed, so she asks Elliot to pick her up afterwards, but he forgets and stays out all night at a new night club. The next morning, Elliot rushes to Maya's apartment, and she tells him when he didn't pick her up, she ended up in a women's shelter, but Elliot takes advantage of her drug-addled state and tells her that was the plot of a movie they watched together when he picked her up.
