Ticket Scalping
Circumstances require the gang to either buy tickets from a scalper or try to scalp tickets. This usually leads to one or more of them getting arrested.

- The Odd Couple: Season 3, episode 19, "My Strife in Court" (1973). When Felix tries to ask a woman to be Oscar's date to a play, the woman thinks he's trying to scalp a ticket and gets him and Oscar arrested.
- The Bob Newhart Show: Season 5, episode 9, "The Slammer" (1976). Bob and the Peeper try to buy tickets to a football game from two women who they think are scalpers, but they turn out to be undercover cops posing as prostitutes.
- What's Happening!!: Season 1, episode 18, "The Tickets" (1977). Mabel gives Raj two tickets to the Stevie Wonder concert, and Raj has to pick one of his two friends to go with him. He flips a coin and picks Dwayne, which makes Rerun stop talking to both of them. Raj manages to get three cheaper tickets so they can all go, and he decides to scalp the two tickets from Mabel. Rerun takes over the scalping and ends up trying to sell them to an undercover police officer, who arrests all three of them.
- The Golden Girls: Season 1, episode 20, "Adult Education" (1986). Dorothy desperately wants to go to a sold out Frank Sinatra concert, so she buys some tickets from a scalper. Meanwhile, Sophia gets some from a guy at the fish market, and Rose wins some in a contest, so they decide to try to scalp the extra tickets at the show. Unfortunately, Dorothy tries to sell hers to an undercover cop, and they all get arrested.
- Seinfeld: Season 4, episode 9, "The Opera" (1992). When Susan backs out of going to the opera, and Elaine uninvites Crazy joe Davolo, the gang finds themselves with two extra tickets, so Kramer and George decide to scalp them. George manages to sell his just as Susan shows up.
- Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place: Season 2, episode 4, "Two Guys, a Girl and a Homecoming" (1998). Pete and Berg claim they have luxury box tickets to the homecoming game to impress their old classmates (they don't), so they buy some tickets from a scalper that turn out to be counterfeit.
- 3rd Rock from the Sun: Season 3, episode 8, "A Friend in Dick" (1997). Since he and Mary broke up, Dick has no one to go to the "King of the Jig" show with him, so he tries to scalp Mary's ticket and almost gets arrested until Officer Don shows up and gets him out of it, then attends the show with him.
- Curb Your Enthusiasm: Season 5, episode 1, "The Larry David Sandwich" (2005). Larry waited too long to buy temple tickets for the High Holy Days, and they're sold out, so he has to buy them from a scalper, and an antagonistic kid turns him into security, so they escort Larry and Cheryl out.
- The Goldbergs: Season 3, episode 7 "Lucky" (2015). Lainey and Erica try to buy concert tickets from a scalper at the Spectrum, and he turns out to be an undercover cop who arrests them.
