• Seinfeld: Season 5, episode 10, "The Cigar Store Indian" (1993). When Jerry strands Elaine in Queens, he buys her a gift to apologize: an antique wooden "cigar store Indian." He wants to impress Elaine's friend, Winona, so he personally delivers his gift during Elaine's poker game with "the girls." Unfortunately, he puts on a show of offensive Native American stereotypes in front of Winona, who he doesn't realize is Native American herself. Jerry apologizes to Winona, and they start dating, but when Jerry asks a mailman for directions to a Chinese restaurant, the mailman, a Chinese man, gets offended, which offends Winona all over again. Winona finally dumps him when he almost calls her an "Indian giver" for asking him to return the TV Guide she gave him.
• Spin City: Season 2, episode 5, "In the Heat of the Day" (1997). While discussing lunch plans, Paul accidentally offends a passing councilman by shouting about how he hates "Mexican" (meaning Mexican food). Stuart, of course, convinces Paul he's a racist, and Paul spends the rest of the episode trying to prove he isn't.
• Father Ted: Season 3, episode 1, "Are You Right There Father Ted?" (1998). While attempting to clean the house, Ted gets bored and starts playing with a lampshade. He puts it on his head and does an offensive impression of a Chinese man at the exact moment when the Yin family happens to be walking by the window. After that, it's not long before all of Craggy Island thinks Ted's a racist. Ted attempts to make things right by throwing a "Celebration of Craggy Island's Ethnic Diversity" at a pub. The island's Asian community is appeased by a generous amount of "free drink" until a set of crazy circumstances leads to Father Jack being accidentally shipped to the Yins' home while dressed in a Nazi uniform.
• Just Shoot Me!: Season 3, episode 18, "Miss Pretty" (1999). Elliot is starving because his Chinese food order is late, so when he sees an Asian man walk into the office carrying a paper bag, he rushes over to take it and is confused to find perfume samples instead. The man is actually Kevin Tanaka, VP of Ad Sales at Todd Herman, and he's so offended that he cancels his meeting with Jack. Later, Kevin agrees to give them another chance and walks in on Elliot fighting a brain freeze from his Slurpee, which looks suspiciously like a racist Asian impression.
• Curb Your Enthusiasm: Season 3, episode 2, "The Benadryl Brownie" (2002). Larry's TV troubles lead to his firing Mike, the TV technician who comes by every week but can't seem to get the TV working right. Mike, who has 15 years of experience, assumes Larry fired him because he's Black. Wanda happens to be in the cafe where Larry and Mike are talking and sees Mike storm out. She questions Larry about it, and when he tells her he fired Mike, she too assumes it was because he's Black. Wanda then points out to Larry that his TV isn't working right because he didn't "turn on the damn satellite."
• Curb Your Enthusiasm: Season 4, episode 7, "The Surrogate" (2004). A series of gaffes convinces Wanda and others that Larry is racist, including assuming all Black men are very well endowed, thinking a Black man in a suit was a valet, referring to a mixed race doll as "mulatto," and accidentally returning to his car to set the alarm as a Black man was walking by.
