Hey, Kids, Let's Put on a Show!
The gang performs in a talent show or variety show (usually to raise money for a cause), and they all display their considerable and/or questionable talents.

- The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis: Season 1, episode 26, "That's Show Biz" (1960). The PTA puts on an annual talent show, and Dobie talks Mr. and Mrs. Gillis into joining in order to impress his new girlfriend's parents.
- The Dick Van Dyke Show: Season 2, episode 14, "Somebody Has to Play Cleopatra" (1962). Rob is pressured into directing the neighborhood's annual amateur variety show.
- The Munsters: Season 1, episode 34, "Munster the Magnificent" (1965). Herman wants to perform on Talent Night at Eddie's school, but he doesn't seem to have any talent.
- Good Times: Season 3, episode 24, "The Rent Party" (1976). The Evans family throws a rent party to help Wanda pay her rent, and Florida, Thelma, Michael, Willona, and even Bookman perform.
- Welcome Back, Kotter: Season 1, episode 20, "Telethon" (1976). Mr. Kotter, the sweathogs, Julie, and even Mr. Woodman display their questionable "talents" in a telethon to save the remedial program.
- What's Happening!!: Season 3, episode 22, "The Benefit" (1979). When their neighborhood teen center closes down due to lack of funding, the gang decides to put on a benefit show to save it. Rerun claims he's buddies with Sammie Davis, Jr. (he's not) and promises to get him to perform (he won't). To no one's surprise, Sammie doesn't show up, so the gang puts on their own show displaying their musical and comedic talents.
- Mork & Mindy: Season 2, episode 23, "Looney Tunes and Morkie Melodies" (1980). Nelson secures an hour of TV air time at 7am on a Saturday morning, when usually only kids are watching, and he doesn't know what to do to with it, so the whole gang gets together to help him put on a family-friendly show with sketch comedy, singing, and dancing, and Mork invites all the kids from the daycare center where he works.
- The Golden Girls: Season 4, episode 17, "You Gotta Have Hope" (1989). Dorothy, Blanche, and Rose volunteer to host a charity variety show, and their emcee cancels at the last minute, so Rose suggests she get Bob Hope to host the show because she thinks he's her biological father. The rest of the gang thinks she's crazy, but they're all shocked when Bob Hope actually shows up, but not because he's Rose's father.
- NewsRadio: Season 4, episode 8, "Stupid Holiday Charity Talent Show" (1997). Mr. James promises the staff that he'll re-hire Matthew if they win a talent show, so they all enter, but the only one with any talent is Dave, who was formally a knife-throwing expert called "Throwgali," but when he runs into his old rival, "Throwdini," he chokes.
