A pregnant woman suddenly goes into labor and is forced to give birth in an unusual place.

- The Odd Couple: Season 2, episode 1, "Natural Childbirth" (1971). Oscar's pregnant niece suddenly goes into labor in his and Felix's apartment during a blizzard, and they can't get her to the hospital, so she has to give birth there.
- Good Times: Season 3, episode 7, "The Baby" (1975). A pregnant friend of Florida's goes into labor in the Evans family's apartment, and Florida has to deliver the baby.
- The Mary Tyler Moore Show: Season 7, episode 1, "Mary Midwife" (1976). While at a dinner party at Mary's apartment, Georgette suddenly goes into labor and has to give birth in Mary's bedroom.
- Barney Miller: Season 2, episode 15, "Happy New Year" (1976). On New Year's Eve, a pregnant woman is arrested for shoplifting and goes into labor in the squad room. The streets are too jammed to get a doctor there in time, and since Wojo once delivered a baby while he was a Marine in Vietnam, he volunteers to deliver the baby.
- Taxi: Season 1, episode 12, "Memories of Cab 804: Part 2" (1978). Alex recalls a time a pregnant woman went into labor in his cab, and he had to delivery the baby because the father lost his nerve.
- Newhart: Season 1, episode 9, "No Room at the Inn" (1982). It's Christmas Eve, and Dick and Joanna are hosting a ski club for the weekend, but a blizzard ruins their plans and strands a pregnant woman and her husband at the inn. Of course, it's not long before the woman goes into labor, and as luck would have it, all 24 members of the ski club are doctors, and as they're desperate for something to do, they're more than happy to help deliver the baby.
- Mr. Belvedere: Season 2, episode 5, "Delivery" (1985). Kevin is working on a school project with his pregnant friend, Robin, when she suddenly goes into labor with no time to get to the hospital, so George and Mr. Belvedere have to delivery her baby in the Owens family living room.
- Perfect Strangers: Season 2, episode 1, "Hello Baby" (1986). When Balki's pregnant friend, Gina, goes into labor, he and Larry rush to get her to the hospital, but they don't make it in time, and Balki ends up delivering the baby in the backseat of Larry's car.
- Night Court: Season 3, episode 22, "Hurricane: Part 2" (1986). When a hurricane strands everyone in the courthouse, four pregnant women and their partners are brought in due to a confused rookie cop, and all of them go into labor at the same time, forcing the staff and the Wheelers to help deliver the babies.
- Night Court: Season 7, episode 24, "The Blues of the Birth" (1990). Christine has to give birth in a stalled elevator with Buddy as her coach and the rest of the gang coaching her from outside.
- Frasier: Season 2, episode 4, "Flour Child" (1994). After Frasier's car breaks down, he, Niles, and Martin are in the back of a cab when the pregnant driver suddenly goes into labor, and Martin ends up delivering the baby because both Frasier and Niles panic.
- Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place: Season 2, episode 20, "Two Guys, a Girl and a Mother's Day" (1999). While Johnny's pregnant sister is visiting, she suddenly goes into labor in Pete and Berg's apartment, and Berg delivers her baby in Pete's bed.
- Malcolm in the Middle: Season 2, episode 25, "Flashback" (2001). In a flashback, Lois is pregnant with Malcolm and fighting with Hal. Hal gets so mad he goes for a drive to cool off, and while he's gone, Lois goes into labor. When she tries to pile the kids in the car and drive herself to the hospital, little Francis locks the doors and won't let her in, so she ends up giving birth to Malcolm on the front lawn.
- Malcolm in the Middle: Season 4, episode 21, "Baby: Part 2" (2003). Lois is planning to induce because her baby has gotten bigger than expected, but when her mother shows up unannounced, Lois suddenly goes into labor, and Hal and the boys aren't home yet, so she waits at home for them instead of going to the hospital. Unfortunately, she waits too long, but the only doctor in the house is Hal's poker buddy, Trey, and he's a dentist with a hangup about private parts, so he talks Francis through delivering the baby while Piama assists.
- Frasier: Season 11, episode 24, "Good Night, Seattle: Part 2" (2004). At Martin and Ronee's wedding, Eddie swallows one of the rings, so Niles and Daphne rush him to a local veterinarian to try to get it out. While they're waiting, Daphne suddenly goes into labor and ends up having her baby in the vet's office.
- Community: Season 2, episode 22, Applied Anthropology and Culinary Arts" (2011). Shirley goes into labor prematurely during Prof. Duncan's fake anthropology class, and a food festival in the parking lot has erupted into a riot, preventing Shirley from getting to the hospital, so the gang assists her in giving birth in the classroom.
