Anger Management
A character with a bad temper gets some help with anger management through a class or support group either voluntarily or for legal reasons.

- Seinfeld: Season 9, episode 9, "The Apology" (1997). George is enraged when an old friend who's on the 12-step program refuses to apologize to him, so he complains to his sponsor, who tricks him into going to an anger management support group.
- Home Movies: Season 1, episode 13, "Brendon's Choice" (2001). After McGuirk gets in a fight at a supermarket, he has to go to anger management or lose his job, but not only is the group leader not helpful, he actually has a tendency to make people even angrier, but McGuirk still somehow learns to control his anger.
- King of the Hill: Season 7, episode 7, "The Texas Skilsaw Massacre" (2002). When Dale loses a finger in a horrific circular saw accident, he blames Hank and gets a restraining order against him. Hank can't go within 100 feet of Dale until he completes an anger management course. At first, Hank is annoyed by the class, but when a fellow student dies after getting so angry he "strokes out," Hank decides to take it seriously.
- My Name is Earl: Season 2, episode 9, "Born a Gamblin Man" (2006). Joy's lawyer sends her to an anger management group to help her learn to control her temper for her upcoming trial, and her only takeaway is that her anger isn't her fault.
- The Office (US): Season 3, episode 13, "The Return" (2007). When Jim steals Andy's phone and hides it in the ceiling tiles, Andy gets so angry that he punches his fist through a wall and has to go to anger management classes if he wants to keep his job.
