Sneaking Around
One or more characters sneak into another character's house and hide when they come home.
The Odd Couple
Appearances
- The Odd Couple: Season 2, episode 2, "Felix's Wife's Boyfriend" (1971). Felix sneaks into Gloria's house to try to win her back from another man, and Oscar follows him there to stop him. When Gloria arrives home, they hide behind the bar while she has a conversation with her date.
- Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman: Season 2, episode 167 (1977). George, Charlie, and Mac discuss Mary and Tom's marriage, and they each decide separately to butt in and talk to the Hartmans. They run into each other in the bedroom and realize they all had the same idea just as Mary comes in and discovers them. Shortly after, Tom comes home, so the three men hide around the bedroom. As Tom is trying to make out with Mary, she signals them to run out.
- Soap: Season 3, episode 10, (1979). Chester is with a woman in a hotel room when Jessica shows up unexpectedly, so he tells his date to get down on all fours, and he covers her with a blanket and pretends she's a table.
- Taxi: Season 3, episode 9, "Thy Boss's Wife" (1981). Mr. Mackenzie's wife invites Louie to her apartment for some hanky-panky, and as much as he tries to resist, he can't help jumping into bed with her; however, Mr. Mackenzie comes home early, and Louie has to hide in their massive bed.
- Cheers: Season 6, episode 18, "Let Sleeping Drakes Lie" (1988). Norm is painting Mr. Drake's house while he's in Europe, and he invites Rebecca to come with him. While Rebecca is checking out Mr. Drake's bedroom, he comes home unexpectedly, and Rebecca hides in his closet while Mr. Drake takes a nap and Norm tries to come up with a way to sneak her out.
- Frasier: Season 5, episode 6, "Voyage of the Damned" (1997). The gang goes on a "celebrity" cruise, and an old acquaintance starts fawning over Niles just as he realizes Maris is watching them from across the room. Frasier wants to try to save Niles's marriage, so he and Roz sneak into Maris's cabin. When they Maris come in, they hide in the bathroom, and when she leaves again, Martin shows up and confesses he had the same idea. So all three of them are hiding in the bathroom when Maris comes back with Niles.
- Frasier: Season 8, episode 7, "The New Friend" (2000). Roz stops by her new boyfriend Luke's houseboat and hears him coming in with another woman, so she hides in the closet, where she finds Frasier already in there hiding from her, and they both get stuck in there while Luke and his other woman make out.
- It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia: Season 7, episodes 9, "The Gang Gets Trapped" (2011). The gang misunderstands a newspaper article, and Dennis, Sweet Dee, and Frank sneak into a house to steal an antique vase, but the home owners come home early, trapping them in a closet.
