Vacation from Hell
The gang's vacation is a lot less fun than they expected.

- The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis: Season 4, episode 27, "The General Cried at Dawn" (1963). When Dobie and Maynard vacation in the fictional country of Boca Dolce, the local rebels notice Dobie bears a strong resemblance to a tyrannical general, and they abduct both of them and force Dobie to impersonate him.
- The Odd Couple: Season 2, episode 13, "Felix, the Calypso Singer" (1971). Nancy gets an emergency call and can't go on vacation with Oscar, so he invites Felix. When they arrive on the tropical island, Nancy manages to get away after all, and Oscar spends the week ignoring Felix.
- The Odd Couple: Season 4, episode 5, "The Odd Holiday" (1973). Felix and Oscar tell Murray the story of the time they went on vacation together with their wives. The trip was such a disaster that it led to Felix and Gloria's divorce.
- Domestic Life: Episode 2, "Small Cranes Court" (1984). A shady travel agent talks the Crane family into taking a vacation to a remote third world country, where they have such a miserable time that Martin decides to take the travel agency to court.
- The Golden Girls: Season 2, episode 8, "Vacation" (1986). Dorothy, Rose, and Blanche go on a vacation to a tropical island that's nothing like it was described in the brochure. They stay in a cramped hotel room with one bed, and they have to share a bathroom with three rude men. To make matters worse, the three men offer to take them sailing to make up for their rude behavior, and they all get shipwrecked.
- ALF: Season 1, episode 11, "On the Road Again" (1986). The Tanners' camping vacation is rained out and morale is low, leading to a blow-up between Alf and Willie.
- Father Ted: Season 2, episode 1, "Hell" (1996). Ted, Dougal, and Jack take a vacation in a friend's cramped camper. Unfortunately, Dougal accidentally left all of their supplies at home, it's pouring rain outside, and they don't even have any tea bags to make tea, so they have nothing to do but sit and stare at each other. When the rain lets up, they visit "St. Kevin's Stump," which is exactly what it sounds like (a stump). Things get even worse when Father Furlong shows up with his youth group and keeps everyone up all night singing pop hits at the top of his lungs.
- 3rd Rock from the Sun: Season 6, episode 15, "Glengarry Glen Dick" (2001). Dick and Don go in on a timeshare together and take Mary and Sally there on vacation, but it turns out to be a shit hole with only one cramped room and bed bugs in a town with nothing to do, so they each try to sell their half to each other.
- Black Books: Season 2, episode 6, "A Nice Change" (2002). Loud construction is going on next to the bookshop for two weeks, so Bernard, Manny, and Fran decide to go on vacation. They find a location that satisfies all their requirements (a jungle, a beach, and a place to sit, read, and drink), and Fran books the cheapest flights there. Unfortunately, they have to take so many connecting flights, that they spend the whole two weeks flying around to different airports.
