Today I would like to announce the one thing that’s been keeping me going this year. I’ve been quietly building it since the summer, and it’s far from complete, but I’m ready to reveal it to the world.

Introducing The Rerun Rewind Sitcom Tropes Database: My comprehensive collection of comedy cliches! I’m on a mission to watch at least 100 sitcoms from the 1960s to the 2010s and catalog every single episode and character trope I see. It’s a work in progress. I’m currently in the mid-eighties with many more to go, but I threw in a few 90s and 2010s to fill it out.

You can browse by show or trope or search for a trope. You can also submit a trope if you think I missed one. I would also appreciate it if you’d let me know about any typos or errors you come across, as I don’t have the time to thoroughly proofread over 350 tropes (and when I’m watching a trope-heavy show, I can easily slip-up).
