This is round six of The Ultimate Sitcom Actor Tournament. For rules, point values, and other information, see the introduction.
Bernie Kopell and Lucille Ball have been holding strong for the last few rounds. In round six, they’ll defend their titles against Don Rickles and Nancy Walker.
Don Rickles
Popular comedian Don Rickles had a successful career that spanned six decades. He was known for his standup routines, but he was no stranger to sitcoms. He starred in three of his own sitcoms: The Don Rickles Show, CPO Sharkey, and Daddy Dearest, and he made appearances on The Addams Family, The Dick Van Dyke Show, The Munsters, Gilligan’s Island, Get Smart, Sanford and Son, Newhart, The Larry Sanders Show, and many more. He stopped acting after 2015 and passed away in 2017 at the ripe old age of 90.

She also made guest appearances on Family Affair, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, The Golden Girls, and Newhart among many others. Her final role was as a regular on the early 90s sitcom True Colors. The show was cancelled during the second season due to both Nancy and star Cleavon Little suffering from cancer. Nancy passed away in March of 1992 at 69 years old, just a few weeks before the final episode aired, and Cleavon passed away in October.
