When the network threatens to pass on his one-man sketch comedy show, legendary comedian and actor, Billy Crystal, agrees to work with a younger comedian/actor, Josh Gad, who's mostly known for being the voice of the snowman in Frozen. This documentary-style series follows Billy and Josh as they try to adapt to each other's vastly different comedy styles and make a funny show while keeping the network happy. Based on the Swedish series, Ulveson & Herngren.

Episode Tropes
- Unwanted Surprise Party: Episode 7, "Billy's Birthday" (2015). It's Billy's birthday, so Josh organizes a surprise party for him at the office, but when Billy comes in, he's depressed and says he doesn't want to make a big deal out of it, so Josh hurries to try to break up the party, but it's too late.
- Ashes to Ashes: Episode 8, "Charity" (2015). Kristen is crying in her office, and she tells Billy it's because she had to put her dog down. He picks up a wooden box from her desk to admire it and accidentally spills out the ashes of Kristen's deceased dog.
- Make-a-wish: Episode 11, "Red, White & Working Blue" (2015). Billy wants to kill a sketch Josh wrote because he doesn't want to "work blue." He tells Josh that a kid from the Make-a-wish Foundation is coming to the set, but Josh soon discovers he just won a chance to visit the set in an auction for his expensive private school.
- Bitch Session: Episode 12, "Overhear" (2015). Billy overhears Josh and his friends talking about him and making fun of his old-style comedy. At first, he pretends he didn't hear, but it slips out, and their ensuing argument almost ruins some promo takes.
