- The Mary Tyler Moore Show: Season 3, episode 7, "Just Around the Corner" (1972). Mary's parents are moving to Minneapolis and looking for an apartment, so Ted suggests his building, adding that he lives in "one of those swinging singles apartments" with his mother.
- America 2 Night: Season 1, episode 43, "Surfin' to Heaven" (1978). Barth mentions that Jerry and Happy have been rooming together at a "swinging singles complex."
- Mork & Mindy: Season 3, episode 16, "Mork the Swinging Single" (1981). While Mindy is on a date, Mork goes to a party at Glenda Faye's apartment in a "swinging singles" building and feels out of place until he meets TNT, who mentors him on being a "swinging single."
- Cheers: Season 6, episode 11, "My Fair Clavin" (1987). When Cliff's mom moves to Florida, he buys a condo in a swinging singles building, where the party never stops everywhere but inside Cliff's condo.
- King of the Hill: Season 9, episode 7, "Enrique-cilable Differences" (2005). One of Hank's employees, Enrique, latches onto Hank because his marriage is falling apart, and he hangs around so much that it gets on the Hills' nerves. To get rid of Enrique, Hank takes him to a singles apartment building and tells him either he has to move in there or go back to his wife.
