- Too Soon: Season 1, episode 6, "The Germans" (1975). Manuel accidentally hits Basil in the the head with a frying pan, knocking him out. He wakes up in the hospital and sneaks out against doctor's orders. Still confused and a little bit loopy, Basil makes a fool of himself in front of a group German guests while trying not to "mention the war."
- Some Days You Just Can't Get Rid of a Body: Season 2, episode 4, "The Kipper and the Corpse" (1979). A guest dies in his bed, and the staff has to find somewhere to store his body until it can be taken away, but everywhere they put it, another guest almost stumbles across it.
